Cooperative Education Programs with Other Community Colleges

Richland Community College has Cooperative Educational Program Agreements with other Illinois community colleges that allow Richland Community College District residents to enroll in Career & Technical Education certificates and degrees not available at Richland. Students are able to enroll in such a program at the cooperating college's in-district tuition rate.

Students may take all specialized courses required for the program at the cooperating college. Related technical and general education courses required in the program may be taken either at Richland or at the cooperating college. The cooperating college issues all degrees or certificates for successful completion of the program. Additional information is available from the Director of Admissions at the college offering the program. When applying for a Cooperative Agreement, students must provide a copy of the Program Sheet from the college to which they are applying. When applying for continued enrollment, students must submit grade reports for previously approved semesters.

If Richland Community College does not have a Cooperative Agreement with the college a student is choosing to attend (as noted in the listing below), another option available is a Charge-Back. As a resident of Richland Community College District #537, a student may attend another Illinois community college if the student is accepted into a program not offered by Richland. This agreement is called a Charge-Back Agreement. Individual courses are not covered by a Charge-Back. Attending full-time or part-time is allowed. Please visit the Charge-Back page to learn more about a Charge-Back Authorization.

Please call Richland's Academic Services at (217) 875-7211, ext. 6224 with any questions you may have or come to room W141 at Richland to fill out a Cooperative Agreement, or a Charge-Back Application.,
